An infamous tale, Sweeney Todd, an unjustly exiled barber, returns to nineteenth-century London, seeking vengeance against the lecherous judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife. The road to revenge leads Todd to Mrs. Lovett, a resourceful proprietress of a failing pie shop, above which he opens a new barber practice. Mrs. Lovett's luck sharply shifts when Todd's thirst for blood inspires the integration of an ingredient into her meat pies that has the people of London lining up... and the carnage has only just begun!

WHERE SOULS GROW WILD: A THEATRICAL TRIPTYCH reveals the human spirit struggling against formidable odds. At the center of each of three short plays are women raging, bending, and breaking against the inescapable structures and demands of their lives. Trapped by worlds in which they have little power, the souls of these women are driven to wildness as they fight for survival and happiness. Although each of these pieces was written over 100 years ago, the struggle for women to achieve power, fulfillment, and self-determination feels strikingly relevant today. WHERE SOULS GROW WILD weaves poetry and original music among the three plays for a moving and thought-provoking theatrical experience. Audiences are invited to join cast and crew for a happy hour after each performance to discuss the show and future Happy Hour Theatre endeavors.
